I tried the interval timer app for exercise and I was satisfied with its performance. It is a simple app that does what it promises. It lets you set the duration and intervals of your workouts with ease. The only thing that I think could be improved is the time input interface. It would be more convenient if it offered some common options like 10 minutes, 15 minutes, etc. instead of requiring you to enter the exact number or increase it by one minute each time. But, it works.

Simple and functional! All my exercises are time-based, and I can customize everything I need here. I mostly do recurring sets with training and rests intervals. It's pretty nice. The ads don't bother in the free version; I still bought the premium because I figured that if I use this app everyday I might as well show support.

I use it for lunging my horse in timed sets of walk trot or canter. Free version is super helpful and adequate so I can focus on him and not on checking the time. You can give rest and work periods and incorporate prep periods for changing direction and things like that. Very useful! Keeps the time so I'm not lunging for more than 30 minutes in the round, which can be bad for them.
